Assistance With Meals
East Montgomery County Resources the Maryland House of Delegates has compiled a comprehensive list of food, rent and utilities resources. Click on the title above to open the document.
Manna Food Center operates a local food market just south of St. Mark’s Church on Old Columbia Pike and also has a distribution site at Glenmont United Methodist Church (just behind the Glenmont Metro station). Manna has waived income requirements to receive food at this time, but clients still need to call ahead to schedule a pick up at 301-424-1130. Assistance With Rent
Montgomery County Assistance Montgomery County has a program for rent assistance for people who qualify. Contact the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services’ (DHHS) Housing Stabilization Services at HSS@montgomerycountymd.gov, or call 311 (240-777-0311).

Domestic Violence Services

Montgomery County 24 Hour Crisis Intervention Hotline is available to provide emergency assistance with domestic violence issues at anytime, including weekends and after regular working hours. Telephone: 240-777-4673 or 240-777-4000.
Child Protective Services: Reporting Child Abuse/Neglect is Everyone’s Responsibility. All Maryland citizens should report suspected abuse or neglect to the local department of social services or to a local law enforcement agency. Ensuring the safety of Maryland’s children is an obligation shared by all citizens and organizations. Reports can be made anonymously. Mental Health Services
The Montgomery County Crisis Center provides free crisis services 24 hours a day/365 days a year. A Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) provides emergency crisis evaluations for individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Full crisis assessments and treatment referrals are provided for all crises, both psychiatric and situational.
